Voltage Energy Unveils Innovative Preassembled Cabling Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026

Voltage Energy at Intersolar Europe 2026

From June 23 to 25, 2026, Voltage Energy Group, a leading global provider of electrical balance-of-system (EBOS) solutions, made a significant impact at Intersolar Europe in Munich. The company highlighted its innovative preassembled cabling solutions, LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS, designed to enhance the efficiency and simplicity of implementing large-scale solar projects.

Evolution of Solar Project Solutions

As the solar energy industry moves toward higher voltage architectures, Voltage Energy has expanded its offerings beyond individual cabling products to comprehensive, system-wide preassembled solutions. These advancements help developers and EPC contractors optimize their designs, reduce installation complexity, and boost the long-term reliability of solar systems.

Compared to traditional methods that involve stringing cables one by one, Voltage Energy’s solutions can reduce cable usage by as much as 33%. Additionally, they can accelerate installation times by up to 50%, which is crucial for meeting tight project timelines and improving deployment efficiency. Bob Slack, the technical director of Voltage Energy, stated, “Developers of solar investments and EPC contractors are under increasing pressure to execute larger projects with fewer installation resources and tighter schedules. We believe the future of EBOS lies in integrated system solutions that simplify implementation and lower the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for projects, preparing clients for higher voltage architectures.”

Addressing Current Load Challenges

Voltage Energy's portfolio features products such as LYNX PLUS, IBEX PLUS, LYNX, IBEX, and ALEX, all tailored to handle various design topologies and electrical loads. LYNX PLUS, created specifically for high-current applications, supports bus sections up to 400mm² and can handle currents of 853A, reducing voltage drop by up to 34% compared to conventional 240mm² designs. This innovative approach also eliminates the need for traditional junction boxes, thus simplifying installation, operation, and maintenance processes.

IBEX PLUS fills a vital gap in the medium current range of 70–168A. With its construction utilizing 97% flexible aluminum cabling, it is up to 41% lighter than conventional copper alternatives and can lower investment costs by as much as 27%. Hybrid copper-aluminum interface options enhance design flexibility while optimizing material usage and logistics.

Prepared for 2 kV Solar Systems

Voltage Energy's preassembled EBOS solutions incorporate innovative flexible aluminum conductors, optimized electrical layouts, and architectures ready for 2 kV. Both LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS have obtained UL 2 kV certification in the United States, with European certification processes currently underway. This positions Voltage Energy to support the broader deployment of advanced, system-wide EBOS solutions across Europe.

Founded in 2016, Voltage Energy Group operates from its headquarters in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, offering cutting-edge and cost-effective technologies and services designed to enhance system efficiency, increase safety, and optimize the long-term performance of utility-scale solar power installations. The team at Voltage Energy is committed to innovation and dedicated to the renewable energy sector.
