Mitsubishi Estate Co., in collaboration with mui Lab and Miwa Lock, will proudly present "HOMETACT" at CES 2026, the largest technology showcase worldwide, held in Las Vegas from January 6 to January 9, 2026. This event signifies not just a milestone for the joint venture but also a fantastic opportunity to introduce innovative smart home experiences originating from Japan to a global audience.

Exhibition Highlights

During the event, the exhibition space designed by mui Lab will meticulously recreate everyday living environments, such as bedrooms and living rooms, reflecting realistic lifestyles and the comforts of a smart home. Mitsubishi Estate and mui Lab will jointly unveil the "Energy Window" feature, allowing intuitive visualization of energy usage. Miwa Lock will introduce new products and demonstrate their smart locks compliant with international standards, particularly the "Matter" protocol, emphasizing enhanced security experiences for families.

Background of the Joint Exhibition

"HOMETACT" is a comprehensive smart home service developed by Mitsubishi Estate, leveraging its extensive knowledge as a leading developer. It enables seamless operation of lighting, air conditioning, water heaters, smart locks, and various IoT devices through a single application, catering to both new constructions and existing buildings. Unlike typical retrofit smart home systems, HOMETACT integrates smart features into the planning and design stages of new residential projects, providing tailored support and robust post-installation service, which has garnered significant praise from numerous companies. Users have reported a 94% satisfaction rate, noting improvements in their living conditions, contributing to increased rental prices and property values. Currently, the adoption of HOMETACT is expanding throughout Japan.

Starting in 2023, HOMETACT commenced collaboration with Miwa Lock's IoT system, "MIWA Support," ensuring effective cloud connectivity with their products. Furthermore, Mitsubishi Estate and mui Lab have been promoting collaborative research on Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS) along with the development of new services. They launched the HOMETACT Energy Window feature, and in December 2025, connectivity features with mui Lab's smart home/HEMS controller, the "mui Board," were released. The seamless integration of devices from HOMETACT, mui Lab, and Miwa Lock continues to deliver more convenient and comfortable smart home experiences for residents.
