Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2026: A Milestone Event
The Japan Riders Forum (JRF), based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce its debut at the 53rd Tokyo Motorcycle Show, scheduled from March 27 to 29, 2026, at the Tokyo Big Sight. This year’s show promises an exciting lineup of events, highlighted by the presence of renowned Dakar rider Shinya Fujiwara.
Special Guest: Shinya Fujiwara
On March 28, at 15:00, Shinya Fujiwara will take to the stage alongside JRF founder Kazama Fukashi, who made history as the first Japanese rider to complete the Dakar Rally. Attendees can expect an engaging conversation revolving around the true essence of adventure that only those who have experienced Dakar can comprehend. Additionally, Fujiwara is confirmed to participate in the upcoming SSTR2026, and he will share the passion and dedication behind his preparations for the race.
A Glimpse of Moto-Culture
In tandem with Fujiwara’s talk, the show will also see the return of last year’s popular discussion titled "The Roots of Adventure," featuring Kazama Fukashi, Takashi Gasori, and Tadao Suzuki, starting at 15:30 on the same day. Their insights will provide a multifaceted perspective on the enchanting motorcycle culture that captivates riders and enthusiasts alike.
Exhibition of Legendary Machines
As part of JRF's exhibition at the show, two remarkable motorcycles, representing the adventurous legacy of the Kazama family, will be on display. One is the YAMAHA Whisper Dancer, used by Fukashi when he reached the South Pole by motorcycle, marking a historic milestone in human adventure. The other is the YAMAHA WR450F Rally, which Shinya Fujiwara rode to successfully complete the Dakar Rally in 2017. This will be a rare opportunity for all attendees to witness the machines that have shared in genuine adventures.
SSTR2026 Merchandise and Community Activities
The event will also feature a merchandise section where fans can purchase official goods for the SSTR2026 ahead of the May event. Limited quantities of functional and commemorative items will be available, including titanium tumblers manufactured by MAVERICK and specially designed dry T-shirts.
Moreover, the JRF will raise awareness about its disaster motorcycle support initiative, Rocky Club, alongside hosting the award ceremony for the Nippon Support Touring 2025. These activities aim to highlight the importance of social contributions through motorcycling, engaging media and visitors alike.
