Chō Aniki Collection Now Available on Steam!

Edia Inc., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has officially launched the Steam version of the Chō Aniki Collection, a compilation of the classic titles "Chō Aniki" and "Ai Chō Aniki," under the licensing agreement with Extreme Inc. The game became accessible to players on November 19, 2025, coinciding with a special promotional sale event.

Reviving a Classic Series

Originally released for Nintendo Switch in December 2024, the Chō Aniki Collection quickly became a hit, topping charts and receiving praise from fans. Responding to popular demand, Edia has worked diligently to bring this beloved series to PC gamers, allowing them to enjoy it in a convenient format that suits their preferences. The Steam version includes enhancements such as gamepad support and new achievements, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable gameplay experience.

What’s Inside the Chō Aniki Collection?

The compilation features reimagined versions of the first two entries in the series:
1. Chō Aniki (Released in December 1992)
The story follows the muscular emperor, the reigning champion of the Great Galactic Bodybuilding Contest, as he faces a critical shortage of protein on his home planet. Sketching plans for an intergalactic conquest to secure protein mining plants, he threatens peace. Two deities, Idaten and Benten, take off to counter this looming crisis and battle against the emperor's forces to restore harmony.

2. Ai Chō Aniki (Released in February 1995)
Set two years after the first game’s events, peace returns to the galaxy following the fall of the bodybuilding tyrant, Bo Tei Bill. However, Idaten perceives troubling signs in the Builder star system, prompting him to investigate. Unfortunately, his journey ends abruptly, sparking Benten to send two courageous heroes, Adon and Samson, to unravel the mystery surrounding Idaten and address the unusual happenings in the star system.
