Daito Trust Construction Announces 2025 'Best Local Brand' Ranking in China

Daito Trust Construction Co., headquartered in Minato City, Tokyo, has recently conducted a comprehensive survey, which has gathered responses from over 180,000 individuals across Japan, culminating in the release of the "2025 Best Local Brand Ranking for China." This initiative reflects a focused effort to gauge public perception of local brands and their respective images.

Survey Overview


The research project was meticulously designed, with the survey being distributed and collected via internet channels through MacroMill, a renowned marketing research company. The survey targeted male and female respondents aged 20 and above from the 47 prefectures across Japan, encompassing a total of 1,890 local governments. The demographics of the respondents illustrated a diverse representation: 55.2% were male, while 44.8% were female. Furthermore, 38.3% identified as single, in contrast to 61.7% who were married, and 42.7% of the respondents had no children, against 57.3% who did.

In terms of generational representation, 8.9% were in their 20s, 16.6% in their 30s, 22.9% in their 40s, 26.8% in their 50s, 18.1% in their 60s, and 6.6% were in their 70s. The survey was conducted between February 21 and March 10, 2025, with a total of 182,805 participants contributing to the findings.

Methodology


The survey methodology involved displaying local governments randomly (excluding the respondent's own residence) and allowing participants to choose from six response options concerning their experiences and perceptions:
1. I have lived there
2. I have not lived there but have visited
3. I have a good image of it
4. I have a bad image of it
5. I have heard of it but have no particular image
6. I have never heard of it

Brand scores are calculated through a formula: Brand Deviation Value = Image DI (percentage of positive image minus percentage of negative image) multiplied by recognition rate. The statistic for individuals who have visited is a sum of those who either lived there or have visited, providing a comprehensive picture of public sentiment.
