This event is a unique opportunity to learn about international cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while immersing yourself in the vibrant cultures of the Philippines, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to participate!

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ChildFund Japan is thrilled to celebrate 50 years of supporting children in impoverished regions of Asia. This Open House is the organization’s first event of its kind in 17 years and promises a day full of learning, cultural experiences, and community engagement.

What to Expect


Visitors can explore various displays and activities that highlight ChildFund Japan’s five-decade journey, showcasing impactful photographs and videos of their overseas support efforts. Attendees will have the chance to engage with cultural exhibits and participate in hands-on activities representing the countries they support. Here are some highlights:

- Learn about the history and impact of ChildFund Japan through exhibits
- View photos and videos documenting international support activities
- Experience the Friendly Space exhibit showcasing cultural diversity
- Participate in a fun stamp rally!

- Enjoy traditional games from the Philippines that families can partake in together
- Try on traditional costumes from various Asian cultures
- Sample masala tea from Nepal, made from locally sourced spices
- Taste Sri Lankan tea made from local produce

  • - Networking Opportunities:
- Engage directly with staff who've visited the support regions—your chance to ask questions!
- Meet and greet with fellow supporters and participants
- Write letters of encouragement to children in Asia

Mini Bazaar and Donation Drive


A mini bazaar organized by university student volunteers will be held during the event, with proceeds supporting ChildFund Japan’s initiatives. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring used books, DVDs, postcards, and stamps for a special campaign aimed at helping children in Nepal. Your contributions are welcomed!

This event embodies ChildFund Japan’s commitment to “child participation” and empowers young volunteers to take an active role in promoting its mission.
