Celebrate the First Anniversary of Funeshiru with Special Limited Edition Souvenir

Funeshiru Museum Marks First Anniversary

The Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. is thrilled to announce the one-year anniversary celebration of its experiential museum, Funeshiru, which opened its doors on July 19, 2025. To commemorate this milestone, the museum will launch a limited edition of 300 original souvenir stamps on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

These stamps, unique to Funeshiru, will feature a specialty design inspired by the next-generation ship, the "WIND HUNTER". Perfect for collectors and visitors, this souvenir serves as a wonderful memento of your visit or a great addition to any collection.

About Funeshiru Museum

Funeshiru, located in the Asia-Pacific Trade Center, focuses on the fascinating world of shipping and the vital role of maritime logistics in everyday life. It provides an interactive learning experience about the grand scale of seafaring, its history, and future innovations through various engaging exhibits. Visitors can explore a café offering original menu items, along with a museum shop that sells unique merchandise related to maritime experiences.

The museum is dedicated to showcasing the essence of maritime culture with exhibits that let guests see, touch, and interact with the world of ships and the sea. Funeshiru stands as a testament to the importance of shipping and the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Group in bridging cultures and economies.

The Souvenir Stamp

The original souvenir stamp is an innovative representation of traditional Japanese Shuin (temple stamps), designed specifically for Funeshiru. This limited release is not only a beautiful keepsake but also supports a larger initiative known as the "Souvenir Stamp Journey Project," where visitors can collect various stamps as they explore different maritime locations. Upon gathering a certain number of stamps, participants can apply for titles such as "Esteemed Navigator" or "Captain".

Curation of the stamp has been done by talented illustrator Tetsumi Nakamura, widely recognized for his ship-related artwork. Nakamura is also collaborating with Funeshiru for an upcoming event on July 25-26, 2026, where he will host a workshop entitled "Easy Drawing of Ships". Visitors can learn the skill of capturing the beauty of ships through art, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.
