Inbound Tourism Seminar in Miyazaki
On May 23, 2025, Miyazaki Prefecture, in collaboration with the Miyazaki Prefectural Tourism Association and Activity Japan, will host an inbound tourism seminar designed to improve the region's appeal to international travelers. This initiative is part of a larger digital marketing project aimed at enhancing awareness and attracting visitors from South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and ASEAN countries.
The goal of this seminar is to address the current situation regarding foreign visitors to Miyazaki, which is still recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The anticipated number of foreign guests in 2025 is expected to reach only about 60% of the figures recorded in 2019, indicating a slower-than-average recovery compared to the national averages. This seminar seeks to provide local businesses with the tools and strategies to enhance their visibility and services to individual travelers, also known as Free Independent Travelers (FIT).
