JARVIS Tokyo Summer Veterinary Experience for Kids

Anicom Advanced Medical Research Institute, a subsidiary of Anicom Insurance, is thrilled to announce an exciting summer event aimed at elementary school students. The JARVIS Tokyo Summer Veterinary Experience will take place over two days – August 12 and 13, 2026. This unique program allows children to engage with veterinary medicine and the latest technology, providing them with a glimpse into various careers related to animal care.

The event will feature hands-on opportunities to interact with advanced veterinary technologies, including robotic surgical assistance equipment. Students will gain insight into the methods and tools used in veterinary medicine today. The program aims to spark children's interest in animal care professions and promote a deeper understanding of veterinary medicine.

Event Highlights

The main program will include a variety of engaging activities:

• - Animal Hospital Tour: Get a behind-the-scenes look at a functioning animal hospital.
• - Robot Surgical Assistance Experience: Operate a demonstration robot for educational purposes (note: this device is used solely for research and is not an FDA-approved medical device).
• - Become a Veterinarian: Participate in a mock diagnosis and treatment of animals.
• - Abdominal Ultrasound & VR Experience: Explore the insides of animals using cutting-edge technology.
• - Medication Preparation for Pets: Learn how to properly prepare medications for both dogs and cats.
• - Emergency Response Training: Discover what to do if a pet is in distress.
• - Dental Hygiene for Pets: Attend a brushing class in collaboration with BLOOM ORAL CARE Tokyo to understand the importance of dental care for animals.

The schedule may be subject to changes, so participants should stay informed.

Important Details

• - Dates:

- August 12: For upper elementary students (Grades 4-6)
- August 13: For lower elementary students (Grades 1-3)

• - Time: Both days from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM (registration starts at 1:30 PM)
• - Location: 5th Floor, Anicom Building, 2-13-37 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo (6-minute walk from Shinagawa Station)
• - Capacity: Limited to 16 children per day (up to 2 parents can accompany each child)
• - Participation Fee: Free of charge

Registration is available here. The deadline for applications is July 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM. If there are more applicants than available spots, attendees will be selected via a lottery system. Notification of attendees will be communicated by July 31, 2026.

Participation Guidelines

• - Participants cannot bring their own pets to the event.
• - Safety is our top priority; participants must follow the instructions of staff members closely.
• - Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
• - We may take photographs and videos during the event. With parental consent, these images may be used for advertising and public relations by the Anicom Group.
• - Limited parking is available at the veterinary hospital, so we encourage the use of public transportation.
• - Normal veterinary services will continue at the hospital during the event, and participants should be considerate of incoming patients.
