Equip Exposition's Expanded Tree Care Arena 2026
In celebration of National Arbor Day on April 24, the esteemed Equip Exposition has announced an expanded Tree Care Arena at the Kentucky Exposition Center, scheduled for October 20-23, 2026. This event promises to be a pioneering experience for contractors, landscapers, and tree care professionals, featuring a stunning 50-foot live tree as the centerpiece of the arena.
The Tree Care Arena is set to provide participants with hands-on stations and mini-tours, where they can engage with seasoned experts and gain insights into incorporating tree care into their service offerings. "You won’t just talk about how to do the work. You’ll get hands-on, in-tree training to learn how to add tree care to your landscaping service lineup or get help with what you’re already doing," remarked Kris Kiser, President and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), which manages the show.
Daily training sessions will be conducted by trainers from The Davey Institute and Academy Trained, covering critical topics such as tree care safety requirements, essential equipment, and various techniques employed by professionals in the field that utilize bucket trucks, lifts, and chainsaws. Kiser noted, "For landscapers, tree care can be an excellent way to grow their profits and service lines. Trees make important contributions to community and home green spaces."
The Tree Care Arena will serve as a living laboratory where attendees can witness real-time demonstrations showcasing equipment used for tree trimming and care, including bucket trucks and lifts. The demonstrations will include tree removal, planting, mulching, small tree and shrub planting, and pruning. These offerings aim to illustrate the profitable business opportunities that can arise from providing tree care services.
Participation in the Tree Care Arena and its offerings is included with the standard registration for the Equip Expo, at no additional cost, allowing attendees to freely explore this unique opportunity.
