SINEXCEL's 1725kW Energy Conversion System Achieves VDE Certification from TÜV SÜD
SINEXCEL's Commitment to Quality: New Certification Achieved
In an impressive display of engineering excellence, SINEXCEL, a global leader in modular energy storage solutions and electric vehicle charging, has successfully obtained the VDE 4110 and 4120 certifications from TÜV SÜD for its 1725kW Front-of-Meter (FTM) Energy Conversion System (ECS). These certifications, among the most stringent in Europe, demonstrate SINEXCEL's dedication to exceptional performance, safety, and compliance within the electrical grid.
What Do VDE Standards Mean?
VDE 4110 and 4120 standards set rigorous requirements for connected devices, ensuring high-quality performance and operational reliability. Meeting these standards means that devices can withstand various challenges, such as network stability, protection mechanisms, and compatibility with the electrical code. The certification process includes tests that evaluate functionality during short circuits, frequency characteristics, and reactive power support—all critical for maintaining grid stability.
A Comprehensive Certification Process
Successfully passing the TR3 testing, TR4 modeling, and TR8 certification processes, SINEXCEL has showcased its ECS’s design excellence and capability in adhering to global electrical standards. The modular design of the 1725kW system allows for flexibility in deployment where it can be tailored according to different energy storage applications. This characteristic is essential for modern energy demands, allowing operators to replace central inverters or chain inverters easily while supporting various battery configurations.
Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness
The ECS boasts an impressive efficiency rating of up to 98.5%, which not only ensures optimal battery safety but also enables the balancing of peak demands and load shifting, leading to reduced operational costs. Furthermore, the system features combined AC and DC outputs that facilitate easy control of DC energy, providing redundancy, increased availability, and robustness.
Designed with durability in mind, the NEMA 3R rated cabinets protect the system in harsh environmental conditions, while a rapid response time of just 10 milliseconds allows for real-time balancing of the grid.
Expanding Market Reach and Compliance
With this certification, SINEXCEL seeks to broaden its portfolio of compliance-ready systems. The company now boasts over 60 certified models across more than 40 countries, including compliance with VDE 4120 (high voltage), 4110 (medium voltage), and 4105 (low voltage) in the UK, Austria, and Germany, catering to energy storage solutions.
This milestone not only underscores SINEXCEL's commitment to supplying high-performance energy solutions for the evolving energy market but also facilitates energy independence among users.
