Enhancing Global Investment: FORVAL's Insight Tour in Cambodia

FORVAL, a pioneering group of next-generation management consultants known for visualizing ESG management, organized an insightful experience dubbed the "Insight Tour." This event involved important discussions with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and representatives from various Cambodian ministries, focusing on boosting Japanese investments in the Southeast Asian nation.

As part of the meeting, a delegation attended from numerous Cambodian government ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, General Department of Taxation, Ministry of Environment, Customs and Excise Department, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Industry. The aim was to promote public-private partnerships between the two nations, particularly during this period of accelerated growth for Cambodia.

This meeting highlighted the importance of Japan's investment trends in Cambodia. It was reported that approximately 65% of these investments are now taking place within Special Economic Zones (SEZs), which are progressively becoming attractive hubs for foreign investment. In addition, discussions about regions such as Svay Rieng province, which is geographically close to Vietnam and seen as a prospective area for future Japanese enterprise expansion, took place.

Notably, the CDC also noted that more than 60% of Cambodia's workforce is under the age of 35, underscoring the potential for Japanese companies to play a vital role in technology transfer and talent development. The efforts of FORVAL and other Japanese enterprises were recognized as tremendously beneficial for nurturing the next generation of industry leaders and strengthening the economic infrastructure.
