Introduction
The innovative project,
'Travel with Tokyu Stay', is set to launch in the fall of 2025, aiming to create genuine connections between travelers and local culture. It is a collaborative effort involving
STORY&Co.,
Tokyu Resorts & Stay Co., and
Osaka Metro Adela. The project will be based in two hotels,
Tokyu Stay Osaka Honmachi and
Tokyu Stay Mercure Osaka Namba.
Concept
With the theme of
“A Bridge Connecting the World and Japan,” ‘Travel with Tokyu Stay’ focuses on providing visitors with engaging and immersive experiences that showcase the vibrant and rich culture of Osaka. The project aims to transform hotels into more than just places to sleep; they will be the
starting points for exploring the city.
STORY&Co.'s Role
STORY&Co. will play a pivotal role in this project by overseeing the production of
upcycled uniforms, collaborating on art exhibitions, and creatively managing the
“Traveling Wagon” featured in the hotel lobby. With a focus on culture, art, and design, STORY&Co. is dedicated to creating a seamless experience that encourages interaction between tourists and the local community.
Project Components
1. Travel with Local Guide (Osaka JOINER)
This initiative, led by
Osaka Metro Adela, offers real local experiences that cannot be found online. The
Osaka JOINER service will provide guidance to hotel guests, immersing them in the authentic culture of Osaka.
2. Travel with Art (Collaboration with Local Creators)
Art plays an integral role in experiencing Osaka's unique character. The project will showcase the
“Osaka Landmarks Series” created by renowned local artist
Noriaki Echigawa in hotel lobbies. The exhibit will highlight creative expressions found in the city, and there will be a special showcasing of past works, including collaborations with Pokémon and Disney. Guests will receive exclusive illustrated stickers as giveaways during this period.
