Huawei Introduces Enhanced AI-Centric WAN Solution Set to Transform Carrier Growth

Huawei's Enhanced AI-Centric WAN Solution

Huawei recently presented a revolutionary AI-driven Wide Area Network (WAN) solution at the Net5.5G Intelligent IP Network Summit during UBBF 2025 in Paris. The event, themed "Thrive with Net5.5G for All Intelligence," showcased Huawei's commitment to leading the telecommunications realm through innovation.

Elevating Carrier Growth

The company's focus on redefining user experience and refining operational structures aims to facilitate a new growth trajectory for carriers. Leon Wang, the President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivered an insightful keynote titled "AI-Centered Intelligent Network Driving New Carrier Growth." During his speech, he emphasized the comprehensive modernization of Huawei's AI WAN solution, which incorporates a three-layer architecture—devices, connections, and an AI-centric brain—swiftly adapting to the evolving landscape of Net5.5G care carrier networks.

This AI WAN solution stands out in addressing the stagnation in home broadband growth and the significant homogenization of service packages. By implementing advanced identification and profiling engines (Xingluo), it enables application-level monetization, aiding operators in crafting differentiated service packages. It uses multidimensional profiles to enhance potential customer identification accuracy to over 90%.

Meeting Business Demands

To cater to the escalating enterprise demand for AI computing, Huawei's solution has enabled China Telecom Shanghai to launch private smart computing lines, effectively resolving performance bottlenecks associated with conventional networks. The lossless Xingluo algorithm ensures precise congestion control at the flow level, while a vector conversion engine safeguards data integrity. This innovative approach underpins collaborative training between edge and cloud computing, anticipating a tenfold increase in Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and promising a Return on Investment (ROI) within just two years.

Enhanced Security Measures

Security resiliency is crucial as network threats become increasingly complex. Huawei’s AI WAN solution enhances security across device, network, and configuration layers, supporting session-level failure isolation and utilizing quantum encryption. An online configuration simulation can evaluate tens of thousands of devices in only ten minutes, significantly mitigating human error. This multi-layered security architecture fortifies customer service operations, offering improved resilience.

Transforming Operation and Maintenance Practices

As networks evolve, conventional operation and maintenance (OM) models face mounting challenges. Huawei’s NetMaster system provides 24/7 network protection, shifting from reactive to proactive operational strategies. With enhanced troubleshooting capabilities, China Mobile Guangdong reduced its average fault diagnosis time dramatically from 45 minutes to just 5 minutes, thanks to a comprehensive knowledge base housing 300,000 cases. Moreover, MasOrange in Spain has successfully implemented an autonomous driving IP L4 network using Huawei’s AI WAN solution, achieving faster mean repair times and decreased overall costs while enhancing efficiency.

Celebrating Achievements

The summit concluded with the Net5.5G Pioneer Award ceremony, honoring winners from over ten global operators and further accelerating the commercial rollout of Net5.5G solutions.

As Huawei continues to push the boundaries of technology, its enhanced AI WAN solution reflects a strategic effort to meet current demands and future-proof operations in an increasingly competitive telecommunications landscape.
