Lyrish EXPO: A Musical Journey This Autumn

The Lyrish Group, operated by Lyrist Inc. headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi, is set to host the Lyrish EXPO across four regions in Japan this autumn. This event features performances and exhibitions organized by three musical organizations: the Koto Association, Lyrish Ocarina Federation, and Lyrish Harp Federation. Each organization will showcase performances on traditional instruments including the Taisho Koto, Ocarina, and Harp.

A Success in Spring

Earlier this year, the spring edition of the Lyrish EXPO was successfully held from April to June across four venues in Hokkaido, Kyushu, Hokuriku, and Kansai, attracting a staggering 4,000 visitors. Attendees enjoyed musical performances and explored various musical instruments at interactive display and experience corners. This initiative encouraged both participants and those unfamiliar with these instruments to appreciate their beautiful sounds.

Event Schedule for Autumn

The autumn Lyrish EXPO will feature a total of four venues across Japan:

• - Chugoku-Shikoku Venue

Date: September 14 (Sunday)
Venue: Higashi-Hiroshima Arts and Culture Hall Kurara (Hiroshima)

• - Tohoku Venue

Date: October 4 (Saturday) & 5 (Sunday)
Venue: Tohoku University 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall (Sendai, Miyagi)

• - Tokai Venue

Date: November 8 (Saturday) & 9 (Sunday)
Venue: Toyota City Concert Hall (Toyota, Aichi)

• - Kanto Venue

Date: November 8 (Saturday) & 9 (Sunday)
Venue: Asakusa Public Hall (Taito, Tokyo)

Engaging Experience Concept

The event embraces three core concepts:

1. Play: Members from across Japan will gather to showcase individual performances on the three instruments.
2. See: Attendees will have the opportunity to view historical exhibitions with panels detailing the legacies of each musical group and their respective instruments.
3. Touch: Experience corners will be set up where attendees can try out the Taisho Koto, Ocarina, and Harp firsthand, engaging directly with the music.

Admission tickets for the spring venues are available for reservation on the following dates for each location:

• - Chugoku-Shikoku Venue: Starting August 5 (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM
• - Tohoku Venue: Starting September 2 (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM
• - Tokai Venue: Starting October 7 (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM
• - Kanto Venue: Starting October 7 (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM
