FUJI Unveils R-PLUS at 2025 New Environmental Exhibition
From May 28 to 30, 2025, FUJI Corporation will be showcasing its groundbreaking AI-powered waste sorting robot, R-PLUS, at the Tokyo Big Sight during the 2025 New Environmental Exhibition. This event promises to illuminate the transformative capabilities of R-PLUS in automating waste sorting, through live demonstrations and informative displays, aimed at enhancing recycling efforts.
R-PLUS: Revolutionizing Waste Management
Developed by FUJI, the R-PLUS robot stands as a testament to advanced automation in the recycling industry. Its primary function is to automate the sorting process traditionally reliant on manual labor, thanks to its sophisticated AI detection technology combined with an innovative picking hand. This robot identifies waste on conveyor belts and swiftly sorts it, achieving picking speeds that rival human workers while operating round-the-clock.
The design allows for easy integration with existing conveyor systems, accommodating inclines between 0 and 20 degrees, thereby enhancing its versatility in various waste processing environments. By integrating R-PLUS into waste management facilities, businesses can significantly reduce labor costs while enhancing the efficiency of recycling operations.
Real-World Applications of R-PLUS
During the exhibition, attendees will have the opportunity to witness R-PLUS in action at the booth of Nakayama Iron Works, located in Hall East 1, Booth A158. Here, live demonstrations will illustrate how R-PLUS operates at the Taiso Rotech's Tokyo Aomi aggregate plant. This facility employs R-PLUS to automatically remove contaminants from debris, showcasing the robot's ability to handle real-life industrial waste challenges.
Furthermore, R-PLUS is also implemented at Kayama Kogyo's industrial waste processing facility, where it automatically sorts valuable materials from mixed waste. Visitors to Kayama Kogyo's booth in Hall East 6, Booth Q613, can explore panel displays detailing the practical applications of R-PLUS in the context of general business waste management.
