Queclink's Vision at MWC 2025
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 held in Barcelona, Queclink reinforced its position as a leader in the Internet of Things (IoT) by unveiling innovative solutions designed to foster smarter and greener cities. This year's theme focused on how technology can improve urban living and sustainability through advanced connectivity.
An exclusive workshop preceding the event gathered industry experts to discuss the transformative potential of Queclink's IoT innovations in connectivity, safety, and sustainability. The highlight was the anticipation surrounding the V16 intelligent safety lighting device, created to bolster road safety. Although it has not been officially launched yet, it has already been utilized in pilot projects and is strategically aligned with Spain's mandate for connected distress beacons by 2026. This technology promises to revolutionize roadside assistance and security measures.
In addition, Queclink introduced its solar-powered asset tracking solutions, engineered to operate without maintenance for up to ten years. As Spain accelerates its smart city initiatives, these innovations aim to optimize energy consumption, reduce emissions, and provide real-time urban monitoring. The WR310, a robust 5G industrial router, was also revealed. This device is customized for high-speed, low-latency communications in manufacturing, automation, and smart networking applications. The WR310 bridges the gap between existing systems and next-generation connectivity, enabling seamless automation and real-time data exchange.
During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions regarding the role of 5G and IoT technologies in advancing Spain's digital transformation across various sectors, including logistics, telemedicine, and smart utilities. Key conversations highlighted the growing demand for scalable, efficient IoT solutions and underscored Queclink's proactive involvement in this evolution.
Alfredo Cabañas, Queclink's Business Development Manager for Spain and host of the workshop, emphasized the importance of reliable, intelligent IoT solutions, stating, "The future of smart cities and industrial automation relies on dependable IoT technologies. At MWC 2025, we showcased how our innovations enhance safety, sustainability, and efficiency through connectivity."
