McWin Capital Partners Welcomes Guillaume Charlin as Managing Partner

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing its growth trajectory, McWin Capital Partners has appointed Guillaume Charlin as its new managing partner. This transition marks a pivotal moment for the firm, which specializes in private equity and venture capital, particularly within the food ecosystem.

Guillaume Charlin, who previously spent 27 years at the Paris office of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), brings a wealth of experience and expertise to McWin. His tenure at BCG was characterized by a significant focus on advising clients in the consumer goods sector, particularly within food and beverage, retail, fashion, and luxury goods. This extensive background has equipped him with a rich understanding of the intricacies and dynamics of the market, allowing him to develop a robust track record in driving transformations and fostering growth in collaboration with C-suite executives and investors.

Prior to joining McWin, Charlin held several key leadership roles at BCG, including managing partner of BCG France from 2018 to 2022 and European leader of the consumer goods practice from 2016 to 2018. His experience culminated in becoming chairman of Quantis, a consultancy devoted to ecological sustainability, which focuses on the food ecosystem.

As the managing partner at McWin, Charlin will work closely with fellow stakeholders to boost value creation across the entire portfolio. His extensive network within the food and beverage industry will be invaluable as he aids in shaping McWin's growth strategy. This strategy includes initiatives such as geographic expansions and venturing into new market sectors.

Henry McGovern, founder and partner at McWin, expressed his enthusiasm about Charlin's appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Guillaume to the McWin family. His profound industry knowledge and management experience make him an excellent fit for our team. Like the rest of our leadership group, he possesses an entrepreneurial background and has invested in over 20 companies in the last 25 years, highlighting his passion for entrepreneurs and founders."

During his time at BCG, Charlin worked alongside numerous entrepreneurs in growth companies, earning a reputation as an expert in strategically guiding businesses toward impactful success. "I am very excited to join McWin and grateful to Henry, Steve, and the other partners for their trust in leading the company on its next growth path," Charlin stated. He expressed his admiration for McWin’s track record since its inception, noting the unique value that the firm's entrepreneurial mindset and focus on the food ecosystem bring to various stakeholders, including managing partners, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Building on the strong foundation laid by McWin, Charlin believes the firm is uniquely positioned to create and seize value creation opportunities as the transformation of food ecosystems continues. This evolution will tackle challenges such as environmental impact, consumer health, and nutritional sovereignty while scaling brands in the restaurant sector effectively.

Charlin's vision for McWin centers on actively contributing to the advancement of innovations throughout the food ecosystem. His dedication to enhancing the firm's mission underscores McWin’s commitment to effecting meaningful changes and fostering creativity within the sector.
