Brock Heger Dominates at King of the Hammers
Brock Heger, representing RZR Factory Racing, achieved a remarkable feat by winning the King of the Hammers (KOH) UTV Hammers Championship in style. Held in the challenging terrains of Johnson Valley, this event showcased not only Heger’s driving prowess but also the exceptional performance of the RZR Pro R Factory vehicle. Completing the race in an impressive 3 hours and 57 minutes, Heger finished a staggering 26 minutes ahead of the second-place competitor, solidifying his status in the off-road racing community.
A Day of Dominance
Heger demonstrated a commanding presence right from the start. After qualifying third, he began the race from the second line and quickly surged ahead once the race commenced. By the 50-mile mark, he had already established a lead of nearly two minutes, illustrating his strategic approach and unparalleled speed. Heger’s plan involved navigating through the desert sections swiftly to position himself favorably for the upcoming rock segments, and he executed this flawlessly.
Despite encountering minor challenges in the rocky areas, Heger displayed exceptional skill and adaptability to maintain his lead. His co-driver assessed the situations promptly, allowing Heger to conserve time without relying heavily on the winch. Instead, he deftly maneuvered through obstacles, demonstrating the vehicle's resilience and his own racing acumen. His smooth sailing to the finish line was a clear testament to the strength of the RZR Pro R Factory, which withstood the demanding KOH course remarkably.
Unprecedented Achievements
With this victory, Heger not only triumphed in the KOH but also completed what is famously referred to as the Ultimate Off-Road Triple Crown. He is now recognized for winning the prestigious Baja 1000 in 2024, the Dakar Rally in 2025, and the King of the Hammers event—all critical titles in the off-road racing world.
“Winning this race was incredibly fulfilling, and it feels great to put Polaris back at the forefront of this event,” Heger expressed after the race. “This edition of King of the Hammers proved to be the toughest yet, but the thrill was unmatched, and my RZR performed without a hitch.”
