New Multi-Factor Authentication Support
Starting from June 18, 2025, NTT Docomo and Monex Securities will offer essential support for configuring multi-factor authentication (MFA) for accessing Monex's trading platform. This initiative aims to enhance online security for users who log into Monex’s website and applications.
Monex Securities has identified an increase in phishing scams, including unauthorized logins and transactions, highlighting the necessity for stronger security measures. Cybercriminals often employ tactics such as sending phishing emails that lead users to fake login sites, aiming to steal personal information. To combat these threats, Monex Securities will require customers to activate MFA for their online accounts starting May 30, 2025.
In response, NTT Docomo will facilitate this roll-out through both physical stores and call centers, providing hands-on and remote support. Customers can utilize the “Anshin Store Support” at Docomo shops for face-to-face assistance with their smartphones' setup and operations. Additionally, the call center will offer remote support services through “Anshin Remote Support” and “Net Total Support.” Both services aim to help users set up MFA comfortably and at their own pace.
The Anshin Store Support involves in-person guidance at select Docomo shops where trained staff will assist customers in configuring MFA and troubleshooting smartphone issues. This initiative ensures that customers feel secure when accessing their Monex accounts.
For those preferring remote assistance, the Anshin Remote Support service allows operators to guide customers via phone or LINE, performing screen sharing to ease the setup process. This convenience extends to troubleshooting various devices, addressing issues beyond just the MFA configuration.
Docomo and Monex Securities are committed to providing financial advisory services that cater to individual customer needs throughout their financial lifecycle. By introducing mandatory MFA, both companies are taking proactive steps to safeguard customer assets and maintain trust in online trading environments.
To learn more about this upcoming service and to stay updated on the latest developments, customers are encouraged to regularly check the respective websites of Docomo and Monex Securities. Protecting one's personal and financial information is more crucial than ever, and these initiatives mark an important step towards ensuring user security in the digital age.
