Bulat Utemuratov Foundation Earns Double Recognition in EUROBAK Awards 2025 for Social Responsibility and Inclusion

Bulat Utemuratov Foundation Achieves Double Honor at EUROBAK Awards 2025

On October 24, 2025, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation was honored with two prestigious awards during the EUROBAK Awards 2025 ceremony, organized by the European Business Association of Kazakhstan. This recognition underscores the foundation's commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of inclusivity within communities in Kazakhstan.

In the award category of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the foundation received accolades for its pioneering project, the Kosshy Community Center. This state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated in March 2025 and spans an impressive 8,500 square meters. Designed with adherence to international standards, it is capable of accommodating up to 1,000 visitors at a time. The construction, funded with an investment of $20 million, was donated to the people of Kosshy and handed over to the municipal administration at no cost.

Designed as a fully accessible space for individuals with disabilities, the Kosshy Community Center serves all ages and incorporates various sports, educational, and leisure facilities. Within the building, visitors can find a cinema, conference rooms, exhibition areas, creative studios, co-working spaces, a large library, and a multi-use sports pavilion. Outside, the center boasts sports courts for soccer, basketball, volleyball, and tennis, along with ping-pong tables, training zones, and scenic walkways.

Children are offered a wide array of clubs, from robotics and chess to choreography and crafts, while adults benefit from spaces dedicated to work, networking, and relaxation. Access to the center is free, allowing all programs to be open to the public.

The second award recognized the foundation’s national campaign for Autism Awareness Month, which aimed at increasing public understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), promoting inclusion, and supporting families raising children with ASD. This initiative builds on over ten years of dedicated work in this area, culminating in the establishment of 13 “Asyl Miras” Autism Centers throughout Kazakhstan, which provide free and evidence-based support to families in need.

Ainur Karbozova, the CEO of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, expressed her pride in receiving two EUROBAK Awards, calling it a significant acknowledgment of their mission to create opportunities and foster inclusivity for the people of Kazakhstan. She stated, “The Kosshy Community Center and our national autism awareness campaign embody the values we stand for: bringing people together, breaking down barriers, and building both physical and social spaces where everyone can thrive.”

These recent accolades follow the EUROBAK Award 2024, which honored the foundation for its significant contributions to infrastructure development in Kazakhstan, particularly for the construction of a new airport terminal in Kyzylorda.

The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation continues to be at the forefront of initiatives aimed at enhancing community welfare and promoting social equality in Kazakhstan, showcasing how corporate responsibility can lead to meaningful social change.
