UnionPay International has officially launched its 2025 global summer campaign, aiming to provide exceptional travel deals and benefits for international travelers during the peak vacation season. With the aim of enhancing the travel experience, cardholders can enjoy a wealth of summer benefits from over 100,000 partner merchants across 25 popular destinations.

Among the features of this campaign are enticing discounts, attractive exchange rates, and bank-supported cashback offers designed to make shopping, dining, and travel more enjoyable for users from around the globe. This year's campaign reflects a robust rebound in global travel, with significant increases in popularity for destinations across Asia and Europe. Countries like Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom have reported a surge in bookings. In response, UnionPay has extended its global merchant network, collaborating with retailers located at 35 international airports and within 60 major shopping districts to offer exclusive summer benefits to cardholders.

UnionPay is also partnering with leading duty-free store groups, prominent department stores, and outlet centers to present unique discounts on world-renowned brands. Cardholders can save even more at over 3,500 local restaurants, cafés, and seafood markets, with instant offers available through platforms like Dianping and Uber Eats.

For families traveling during school vacations, UnionPay has introduced thematic offers in collaboration with eight world-famous attractions. Locations such as Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore and the Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship allow UnionPay users to receive cashback or immediate discounts based on spending thresholds.

The campaign also includes perks related to flights and transportation. UnionPay cardholders can take advantage of exclusive offers when booking flights with international airlines like Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and Air China. Additionally, travelers can enjoy discounts on transportation cards in Japan and Hong Kong, or payments made via J-Coin Pay in Japan and ZeroPay in South Korea, with discounts reaching up to 10%.

Beyond boosting global retail and providing travel savings, UnionPay continues to offer favorable exchange rates for Chinese travelers in over 30 destinations, including Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the Middle East. Cardholders who register through the UnionPay app and meet spending thresholds are eligible for even better rates. Furthermore, 16 partner banks in mainland China, including ICBC, ABC, BOC, CCB, and CMB, provide cashback of up to 12% on UnionPay card transactions for cross-border purchases, ultimately increasing foot traffic to physical stores for global merchants.

For travelers visiting China, more than 40 international banks issue the UnionPay SplendorPlus card, which provides exclusive cashback and promotional offers for purchases made during their trip.
