Transforming Educators' Workstyles: Next-Generation DX Foundation in Fuchu City

Introduction

Uchida Yokio, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has embarked on a pioneering initiative in Fuchu City, constructing a groundbreaking digital education foundation that supports approximately 21,000 users, including about 2,000 educators and 19,000 students across 33 elementary and middle schools. The full deployment of this next-generation administrative digital transformation (DX) environment will begin in April 2026, following a pilot program for educators starting in January.

Features of the DX Foundation

The newly established foundation employs SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) technology, facilitating a Zero Trust security model that ensures a secure, seamless, and efficient work environment for faculty members. By merging previously isolated administrative and educational networks, educators can now operate remotely with location-free access using just one device, greatly enhancing their workflow.

Furthermore, the new learning environment provides an integrated authentication framework featuring multi-factor authentication to balance user convenience and security effectively. The progressive system integrates Microsoft 365 Education A5 and Google Workspace for Education, allowing educators to harness generative AI, specifically Microsoft 365 Copilot, to improve operational efficiency and reform workstyles.
