AlphaESS Unveils an Extended Energy Storage Ecosystem for Europe at Intersolar 2026
At Intersolar Europe 2026, held in Munich, AlphaESS shared a clearer vision of its European strategy after over a decade of presence in the region. This year, the company showcased its commitment to expanding its energy storage solutions, transitioning from hardware manufacturing to comprehensive software and connectivity services.
AlphaESS highlighted key products such as the STORION-LC-TB150, tailored for commercial and industrial applications, and the Aster 6260, designed for large-scale deployments. The introduction of AlphaConnect, a platform meant to link batteries, partners, and energy markets, illustrates the company's shift toward a more integrated energy ecosystem.
The STORION-LC-TB150 stands out with its nominal power of 150 kW / 313 kWh, specifically engineered to seamlessly integrate clean energy into various environments such as factories and office buildings. It is notably quiet—operating at ≤60 dB(A)—which allows installation close to working areas without disrupting the daily routine. Moreover, it meets the UL 9540A fire safety standard and supports up to 12,000 cycles, promising durability and reliability.
When addressing larger projects, AlphaESS linked its product development to extensive project execution experience gained over its ten years in Europe. With local subsidiaries, teams, and partners now in place, the company is embarking on large-scale projects, such as the impressive 320 MWh initiative in Chvaletice and Kladno, demonstrating its capacity for substantial project operations.
The Aster 6260 represents the evolution of AlphaESS's solutions, featuring a liquid-cooled system capable of 3.13 MW / 6.26 MWh, suitable for high-density deployments. It also integrates security measures, remote commissioning capabilities, and AI-driven operations and maintenance. This product design reflects the pressing need for effective energy management solutions in light of Europe’s energy demands.
The software aspect of AlphaESS's strategy is foundational for value creation moving forward. The AlphaConnect platform plays a crucial role, acting as a connectivity layer between assets and markets. This platform provides open APIs for virtual power plant operators, energy aggregators, and third-party systems, enhancing interoperability across devices and applications. In the United Kingdom, for instance, AlphaConnect integrates with Octopus Energy, a leading smart energy platform in Europe, which enables intelligent load scheduling and remote asset management.
By connecting over 100 partners and energy platforms, along with more than 100,000 systems across 12 countries, AlphaESS is significantly uplifting the value derived from software applications and energy markets. The technology simplifies integration for partners, which can be achieved in just four weeks.
Additionally, AlphaESS reinforced its message of commitment to the European market by announcing the opening of its subsidiary in Spain, expanding further into the Benelux region, and progressing its project in the Czech Republic. This highlights their dedication to localization, delivery capability, and long-term commitments to Europe’s clean energy transition.
