SOLASTER Selected for Global Startup Acceleration Program in 2025

SOLASTER's New Milestone in Global Startup Acceleration Program

Japan's SOLASTER Corporation, renowned for its development of underwater drones and seabed data solutions, has been officially accepted into the Global Startup Acceleration Program (GSAP) for 2025. This prestigious program is organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), aiming to support domestic startups aiming to venture into global markets.

The 2025 cohort of GSAP has selected 50 companies from across Japan, with a focus on themes like DeepTech, AI, Sustainability, and Industry 4.0. SOLASTER has been chosen for the Industry 4.0 course, which specifically supports manufacturing and hard tech businesses. Through this program, they will work alongside established accelerators in the U.S. Midwest, specifically LEAN ROCKET LAB and CENTREPOLIS Accelerator, providing them with opportunities for practical mentoring, networking, and proof of concept (PoC) collaborations.

SOLASTER has notably developed the SOLASTER ROV, a domestic underwater drone, along with their Square System image processing technology that generates orthoimages of seabeds. Their technology is paving the way for various applications, including blue carbon-related research and marine infrastructure inspections. With the vast potential for growth, SOLASTER seeks to leverage the GSAP opportunity to establish partnerships and success stories in the North American market.

Future Outlook

Through participation in the GSAP, SOLASTER aims to build networks with local investors and businesses, acquire valuable market feedback, and push forward with various proof-of-concept projects, thereby solidifying its presence on a global scale. The company is committed to contributing to marine innovation and the growth of the blue carbon economy, striving to overcome new challenges along the way.
