Unveiling the Ogimachi Night Museum: A New Cultural Landmark in Osaka
Osaka is set to become a hub of cultural exploration with the upcoming
Ogimachi Night Museum which will run from
September 26, 2025, to
March 8, 2026 at the
Ogimachi Museum Cube. This exhibition, funded by Osaka Prefecture's Night Culture Promotion Project for the 2025 fiscal year, promises an immersive experience into four distinctive facets of Japanese culture ranging from pop to traditional arts.
The
Ogimachi Museum Cube, located in the heart of Osaka city, aims to be a next-generation hub for art that is accessible to everyone. Through the
Ogimachi Night Museum, it plans to showcase the diverse allure of Japanese culture to both domestic and international audiences.
Exhibition Highlights
The exhibition consists of four main sections:
1. Origami and Object Exhibition
This section will feature works from renowned origami artist
Shatner Nishida, who skillfully transforms a single piece of paper into a myriad of organisms. Alongside him, conceptual artist
Takeshi Kuroda will showcase creations that interweave science, art, and philosophy, culminating in an exhibition dubbed “One and Infinite.”
2. Ink Painting Exhibition
