KIOI ROSE WEEK 2026: An Enchanting Celebration of Roses

Tokyo's Kioicho neighborhood will burst into color and vitality from May 15 to June 14, 2026, as it hosts the much-anticipated KIOI ROSE WEEK 2026. Presented by Seibu Real Estate Property Management, this event aims to create a vibrant community space centered around the enchanting beauty of roses, which serve as both a connection point and a way to promote local charm.

Since its inception in 2017,(cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic) KIOI ROSE WEEK has celebrated its ninth iteration with the engaging theme “BEYOND THE ROSE. -薔薇ひらく街、紀尾井町-”. The event promises an array of captivating experiences, including rose-themed art, decorations, and delicious food offerings throughout the area.

Exhibit and Activities

During this month-long festival, visitors can delight in the sight and scent of around 600 rose bushes, showcasing approximately 90 different varieties, flourishing around the Akasaka Prince Classic House. The air will be filled with the sweet and vibrant fragrance of blooming roses.

This year's event includes an exciting collaboration with global flower artist Nicolai Bergmann, featuring various activities such as:

- Creation of a distinctive key visual for the event.
- A stunning flower installation near the Akasaka Prince Classic House.
- Workshops where attendees can design their own flower boxes with expert guidance.

This collaboration is set to elevate KIOI ROSE WEEK 2026, turning it into a vivid canvas showcasing the intricacies of floral art.

Afternoon Tea and Exclusive Menus

Visitors can also indulge in a selection of rose-inspired culinary delights at various hotels and restaurants within the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho.
For example, La Maison Kioi will offer a special Classic Afternoon Tea featuring exquisite treats inspired by roses. Running from May 15 to June 3 for ¥9,000 (including tax but excluding service charges), it’s a splendid way to savor both sweet and savory items while surrounded by blooming roses.

Special Rose-themed Cocktails and Menus

Additionally, the Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho will present several rose-themed menus including a beautiful afternoon tea featuring the Floral Blossom Afternoon Tea ~Rose~ from May 15 to June 30, 2026. Guests can enjoy delectable dishes that not only look stunning but also encapsulate the luxurious feel of summer roses.

Engage in Artistic Experiences

From May 28 to June 14, attendees can witness Nicolai Bergmann's original flower installation in the rose garden, transforming it into a spectacular event space that beautifully blends roses with seasonal flowers, celebrating nature's vibrancy and grace.
A unique Flower Demonstration Event is scheduled for May 30 at noon, allowing guests to observe Nicolai as he crafts his masterpieces live.
To add to the festivities, a Flower Workshop led by Bergmann will take place the same day at 3:30 PM, where participants can create their own flower boxes, provided they register in advance for this exclusive opportunity.
