Unleashing Creativity: DIGITAL SPRINGBOARD Project at TOKYO NODE

The newest project, DIGITAL SPRINGBOARD, has been launched by MOSHI N Building Co. under the leadership of CEO Shingo Tsuji, in collaboration with NEORT Co., Ltd. Located in the bustling Toranomon Hills, TOKYO NODE serves as a pivotal information hub, now utilizing its digital signage for showcasing contemporary digital art. This project aims to introduce innovative urban experiences by leveraging the latest digital technologies.

TOKYO NODE LAB has been at the forefront of these innovations, developing numerous initiatives such as the AR application TOKYO NODE Xplorer and hosting the TOKYO NODE “XR HACKATHON.” Through these projects, the lab aims to create new urban experiences that blend the digital and physical realms.

On the other hand, NEORT Co., Ltd. is adept at reinventing the digital art landscape with its platform neort.io, which provides artists spaces to share their work and reach broader audiences. They also operate the art gallery NEORT++ located in Bakurocho, further advancing the distribution of digital art.

The DIGITAL SPRINGBOARD project will feature selected digital artworks from various artists, chosen through an open call. The first round's theme is “PERFORMED IMAGE,” a subject tied to the forthcoming exhibition at NEORT++. Starting from September 1 to September 14, the artworks will be displayed on the digital signage situated at the B2 level of the Toranomon Hills Station Tower's atrium. The submission period for this call is from August 5 to August 22, 2025, and it will welcome up to ten selected works.

Future rounds and additional exhibition schedules will be announced on their website and through social media channels, marking the expansion of both the digital and physical manifestation of art in urban settings.

This initiative seeks to invigorate not only the visitors to Toranomon but also the local office workers, thereby creating a vibrant atmosphere in the city. The organizers, TOKYO NODE LAB, express a vision of constructing a creative ecosystem where new relationships between digital art, its creators, and the urban community can thrive. They believe that engaging the public through physical interactions with digital art will foster a meaningful connection between human experiences and technological advancement.

Additionally, this project enjoys the support of the Be Smart Tokyo initiative, a program instituted by DNP (Dai Nippon Printing Co.), aimed at enhancing the everyday lives of citizens through the implementation of smart services, making urban life both more convenient and enriching.

As expressed by both organizations, the goal of developing accessible and engaging urban art experiences is at the heart of their progressive collaboration. This not only celebrates the artists involved but also enhances community engagement in Toranomon.
