Recognition Awarded for Corporate Donation to Nagoya University Enhances Automotive Innovation

Corporate Recognition for Generous Donation to Nagoya University

In a commendable move that underscores the commitment of corporations towards societal development, our company has recently been honored with the nation's 紺綬褒章 (Konju Hōshō) for our donation to Nagoya University in 2024. This prestigious award was presented to our CEO, Hiroshi Tominaga, on July 22, 2025, during a ceremony held at Nagoya University.

The Konju Hōshō is an esteemed recognition bestowed by the government upon individuals and organizations that contribute financially for the public good. This acknowledgment not only reflects our dedication to philanthropy but also highlights our ongoing engagement in fostering academic and industrial collaboration.

Our donation played a pivotal role in establishing the "Cresco SDV Laboratory" under the Graduate School of Information Science at Nagoya University. The lab focuses on the development of the API design project dubbed the "Open SDV Initiative." As of July 4, 2025, this groundbreaking project has attracted participation from 59 companies, showcasing a robust collaborative effort within the automotive sector. Notably, several employees from our company are actively involved in these initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to pioneering advancements in the automotive landscape.

The term SDV, which stands for Software Defined Vehicle, refers to vehicles equipped with software that enables two-way communication with their surroundings. This revolutionary technology allows for post-sale functional enhancements and performance improvements, positioning us at the forefront of industry innovation.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that Dr. Hiroaki Takada, the Director of the Embedded Systems Research Center at Nagoya University, will join our company as a technical advisor beginning April 2025. This partnership aims to facilitate ongoing knowledge sharing and collaborative discussions, focusing on strategies for expanding our business within the Mobility DX sector. As we continue these dialogues, we aim to develop effective strategies for human resource cultivation and business scalability.

Our company remains steadfast in its commitment to furthering collaboration with Nagoya University, believing that together we can spearhead the next generation of automotive development in Japan. By leveraging academic insights and corporate strategies, we aspire to contribute significantly to the industry and society at large. This partnership symbolizes our belief in the importance of education, innovation, and community, aligning perfectly with our vision for a sustainable and advanced future in mobility.
