Az Planning Design Expands into Asakusa
Az Planning Design, a prominent player in the real estate market in the Tokyo area, has officially opened its new Joto branch in Asakusa as of September 2026. This development marks a significant step in their strategic efforts to solidify their market position in the Kanto region, which encompasses Tokyo and its neighboring prefectures.
The Joto "Three Arrows" Strategy
With a newly established mid-term management plan for the period ending February 2029, Az Planning Design has set ambitious financial goals, targeting an operating profit of 1.8 billion yen and aiming for a future market capitalization of 10 billion yen. To achieve these goals, the company is rolling out its Joto "Three Arrows" strategy, which focuses on three key initiatives: 1) opening new branches, 2) expanding human resources, and 3) enhancing income-generating real estate services. The opening of the Joto branch sets the stage for a more robust operational framework.
The new branch will see a convergence of talent from both the Saitama headquarters and the Tokyo corporate office. It is designed to facilitate a seamless operation—from the sale of income-generating properties to leasing and management services, allowing for a comprehensive service experience for clients.
Additionally, in mid-September, Fuji Home, a longtime player in the real estate industry, will relocate adjacent to the Joto branch. This move is anticipated to strengthen collaborative efforts between the two companies.
Fuji Home’s Real Estate Endeavors
Fuji Home has been engaged in property management in Asakusa for over 70 years. In 2025, it became part of the Az Planning Design group and is now leveraging this partnership to initiate income-generating real estate ventures in the Joto area, focusing on smaller properties valued below 1 billion yen. On the other hand, Az Planning Design specializes in larger properties above 1 billion yen in the central five districts of Tokyo. Together, they form a symbiotic relationship that enhances their market offerings across various price ranges and geographical areas.
In 2026, Fuji Home successfully acquired its first income-generating property,
