The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is excited to announce the appointment of Amanda Montague, EdM, as its new President and CEO. With over two decades of dedicated service to MSAA, Ms. Montague has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the organization and the community it serves. Previously, she held the role of Interim President and CEO, and prior to that, she was the Chief Mission Officer, where she played an essential role in shaping numerous educational initiatives and innovative programs.

Amanda's journey at MSAA has been marked by her strategic influence, aligning with the organization’s mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Beyond her administrative duties at MSAA, Amanda has served as a Stakeholder Reviewer with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute in Washington, DC, and as a member of the MS Quality Measure Review Panel for the American Academy of Neurology. Her engagement in research and advocacy reflects her deep understanding of the needs faced by those living with MS, often addressing gaps in care and treatment.
Academically, Amanda's qualifications are impressive: she holds a BA in Economics from Smith College, an EdM in Risk Prevention from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an MA in International Patient Advocacy Management from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy. This diverse educational background complements her extensive professional experience, positioning her as a knowledgeable leader in the field.
