Experience Cutieroid's Goryu Like Never Before
The world of collectible figures is about to take a giant leap forward. Starting May 14, 2025, HatsuMuv Inc. has initiated an exciting crowdfunding project to create a remarkable 150cm robot figure of the beloved character "Goryu" from Kotobukiya's popular "Frame Arms Girl" series. This isn’t just any figure; it's a transformational endeavor that aims to introduce a life-sized, moving version of Goryu into the physical realm.
What Makes Cutieroid Unique?
The Cutieroid project refers to the exciting concept of bringing cherished two-dimensional anime and game characters into three-dimensional form, allowing fans to engage with them like never before. With two variants—the 55cm CutieroidDoll and the impressive 150cm Cutieroid—this initiative aims to make the characters tangible and interactive. The first offering, "Hatsuki," successfully showcased the project's potential.
Central to the Cutieroid project is the character Goryu, initially featured in the "Frame Arms" series. Goryu, representing a captivating blend of beauty and mechanics, lives on through various forms, including models and animated adaptations. This latest iteration as a 150cm robot signifies not only the height of engineering but also a groundbreaking first in the industry, as this figure will feature moving limbs.
The Vision for the Crowdfunding Project
The ultimate goal of this crowdfunding effort is to showcase both the 55cm Goryu (CutieroidDoll) and the life-size 150cm Goryu (Cutieroid) at the All Japan Model and Hobby Show 2025, scheduled for October at Tokyo Big Sight. This remarkable event will culminate in a breathtaking performance where Goryu will interact with fans, bringing the boundaries between two-dimensional art and three-dimensional figures to a thrilling convergence.
The success of this project could pave the way for interactive figures to become commonplace in the anime and entertainment industries, augmenting fan experiences in ways previously thought impossible. This ambitious project aims to create a new standard in character engagement, transforming the interaction between fans and their favorite characters.
Progress Updates in the Cutieroid Project
HatsuMuv is committed to maintaining transparency throughout the project’s development. At the "Kotobukiya Collection 2025", held from January 31 to February 2 of this year, the team demonstrated the technical feasibility of the CutieroidDoll Goryu. Just a few months later, during the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show" on May 14-18, attendees were dazzled by the first live movement of the 55cm Goryu, showcasing fluid, lifelike motions that astonished visitors.
