As the inaugural event for the 'Garden of Connections,' YAWN YARD will host a two-day exhibition featuring works from the talented local illustrator MIREI. The exhibition will blend new and existing works, designed to resonate with the experiences and ambiance of YAWN YARD. Visitors can enjoy not only an immersive artistic environment but also the unique opportunity to interact with MIREI during the event, gaining insights into her creative process and the stories behind her art.

About the Artist MIREI

MIREI, hailing from Okinawa, draws inspiration from the island's rich nature and everyday life. She is renowned for her illustrations, which extend into various creative territories including art, design, and collaborations with pottery makers. In 2013, she co-founded the gallery and shop RENEMIA, showcasing products developed through her design work alongside those of craftspeople and artists rooted in Okinawa, as well as international products.
