HUB International Welcomes Faizal Mitha as New Vice President of AI Sales Innovation
In a bold move to strengthen its commitment to artificial intelligence (AI), HUB International has announced the appointment of Faizal Mitha as Vice President of AI Sales Innovation, effective July 1, 2026. This newly established role signifies HUB's ongoing investment in AI-driven capabilities designed to foster organic growth and enhance client relations across its commercial, personal, and benefits lines of business in both the U.S. and Canada.
Faizal Mitha brings over 20 years of rich experience in digital leadership and employee benefits to the table. He is set to play a pivotal role in scaling AI-enabled sales practices throughout HUB's expansive network. At the core of this initiative is the utilization of AI tools that amplify the productivity of sales professionals, enabling them to anticipate risks more effectively and deliver sharper insights during client interactions.
Marc Cohen, President and CEO of HUB, underscored the importance of this appointment, highlighting that AI serves as a “force multiplier” in improving client service. “Faizal has a proven track record at the intersection of digital innovation and client service, making him uniquely qualified for this position,” stated Cohen.
HUB's strategic focus on leveraging technology aligns with its mission to foster organic growth by equipping its sales team with advanced resources. Mitha’s responsibilities will encompass scaling the successful implementation of Anthropic's Claude platform, recently deployed to HUB's employees in late 2025. This platform not only supports producers but also provides them with valuable insights for business development.
Moreover, Mitha will lead the initiatives to create tailored tools, training, and resources to be made available across HUB's various sectors, including Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Private Client services, Retirement and Private Wealth, as well as Employee Benefits. His collaboration with HUB's AI and Automation Team will be essential in measuring the impact of these innovations on the firm’s growth trajectory.
Before stepping into this pivotal role, Mitha served as Chief Sales Innovation Officer for HUB Canada’s Employee Benefits and Retirement segment. During his tenure, he successfully transformed the employee benefits experience in Canada, launching new services that seamlessly integrated technology and client needs. His leadership has significantly positioned HUB as a national leader in employee benefits and retirement services.
Mitha’s career in insurance began as an underwriter with two of Canada’s largest insurance firms. His portfolio also includes co-founding one of the fastest-growing insurtech companies in Canada, which utilized AI and big data to offer on-demand benchmarking for insurance decisions.
With a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and an Executive MBA, Mitha's educational background complements his extensive professional experience, equipping him with the necessary skills to drive transformative initiatives at HUB.
