Amber Semiconductor Secures $30 Million Investment to Revolutionize Power Delivery for AI Data Centers

Amber Semiconductor Secures $30 Million Investment

Amber Semiconductor, a pioneering fabless semiconductor company known for its innovative advancements in power management for AI data centers, recently announced that it has successfully closed a $30 million Series C financing round. This funding was contributed by both new and existing investors and is expected to significantly bolster the company's growth strategy.

The funds will primarily focus on scaling Amber's product development, increasing customer engagement, and accelerating the commercialization of its revolutionary vertical power delivery systems. These solutions are designed to meet the surging demands of the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market, particularly as power delivery systems evolve to meet new performance standards.

Amber's cutting-edge PowerTile™ technology represents a paradigm shift in how power is supplied within data centers. By enabling the placement of power components on the backside of server boards and opting for a vertical power delivery path, this approach reduces power distribution losses to processors by an impressive 85%. As AI workloads are predicted to continue their exponential growth, Amber's technologies are set to provide critical, efficient solutions for challenges related to power scalability, thermal management, and spatial constraints in modern AI setups.

Thar Casey, Founder and CEO of Amber Semiconductor, remarked, "AI data centers are entering a new era where power delivery has become a key differentiator in performance. This financing marks a pivotal moment for us as we further pursue our vision of enhancing power delivery for AI technology. The robust backing from our investors reflects the confidence in our advanced technologies and their vital role in the future of AI computing."

This announcement comes on the heels of Amber's recent tape-out of its PowerTile™ vertical power delivery solution, which was achieved in January of this year. By transforming traditional lateral power distribution into a vertical model, Amber hopes to deliver substantial increases in efficiency and scalability for AI systems. The company anticipates beginning shipments to major clients by the third quarter of 2026.

To further cement its role as a leader in this domain, Amber Semiconductor will host an industry session at the upcoming Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) 2026. This session, titled "Vertical Power for AI Data Centers," will feature representatives from leading tech giants such as AMD, Nvidia, and Global Foundries, who will discuss the latest trends, innovations, and the significance of vertical power architectures in shaping the future of AI infrastructure.

Based in Silicon Valley, Amber Semiconductor is recognized for its groundbreaking work in power management solutions for AI data centers and beyond. Their PowerTile™ technology is heralded for its ability to provide unmatched power density and efficiency to high-performance processors like AI chips, servers, and FPGAs, especially in space-constrained environments. With over 50 patents in the United States, Amber maintains a presence in the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) and has been acknowledged with numerous accolades including Fast Company’s
