The Beach Flags Series 2025: A Thrilling Spectacle in Shibuya

The Beach Flags Series 2025 is set to take place in Miyashita Park, Shibuya, on November 9th, organized by the Japan Lifesaving Association (JLA). This two-day event includes preliminary rounds on November 8th, promising an extraordinary showcase of talent, speed, and strategy.

What is Beach Flags?

Beach Flags is an exhilarating beach sport where participants sprint from a lying position to snatch flags positioned along a designated line. Competitors line up face down, 20 meters away from the flags, reacting swiftly to the signal as they race to collect the limited flags available.

This sport demonstrates the physical prowess and mental acuity essential for lifesavers. With the atmosphere filled with moments of silence followed by joyous cheers, it truly captivates the audience.

Objectives of The Beach Flags Series

The primary aim of The Beach Flags Series is to promote lifesaving sports and raise awareness about drowning prevention. This event invites everyone, not just trained lifesavers, to experience and enjoy the thrilling nature of beach flags, thereby encouraging broader participation in water safety initiatives.
