HALLO® Programming Education Adopted by NHK Academy
The innovative programming education program HALLO®, developed by the motivational switch group and Preferred Networks, is set to empower high school students at NHK Academy starting May 2026. This initiative aims to cultivate practical skills and enhance awareness toward advancing to information technology universities among 16 to 18-year-olds.
Enhancing Learning Opportunities for Students
NHK Academy is recognized for its versatile learning models tailored to each student's needs. The decision to incorporate HALLO® into their curriculum stems from the desire to enrich the educational experience for those aiming for careers in technology. After thorough evaluation of various materials, NHK Academy selected HALLO® for its effective approach.
Key Features of HALLO®’s Implementation
The decision to implement HALLO® was significantly influenced by two principal factors:
1.
Outstanding Learning Materials: The curriculum includes the innovative Playgram, a visual programming tool that transitions students smoothly from visual to text-based coding (Python). Its user-friendly interface promotes efficient learning, allowing students to grasp basic programming concepts through engaging, game-like experiences. The quality of the educational material received high praise, particularly for its focus on math and information technology.
2.
High-Quality Coaching: HALLO® emphasizes supportive coaching that goes beyond mere instruction. Coaches provide encouraging feedback and guidance, nurturing a sense of accomplishment in students. This coaching approach is anticipated to inspire greater interest in pursuing degrees in information-related fields.
Course Structure and Goals
The HALLO® selection course will run for ten sessions from May 15 to July 17, 2026, every Friday, and is designed for a maximum of 10 students. Each session, lasting 90 minutes, will include multiple coaches providing comprehensive support.
