Advensus Unveils $6 Million BPO Facility in Trinidad to Enhance Services
Advensus Expands with New BPO Facility in Trinidad
In a significant move to enhance its service capabilities, Advensus, a prominent name in the contact center and business process outsourcing (BPO) sector, has announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art delivery facility in Chaguanas, Trinidad, with an investment of $6 million. This new hub is poised to tap into the region's highly skilled workforce and is expected to become a key player in the expanding BPO industry in the Caribbean.
Investment in the Future
Thomas Oronti, CEO of Advensus, expressed enthusiasm about the facility, stating, "Trinidad is fertile ground for access to professional talent, top-level English capabilities, and neutral accents for nearshore customer service delivery." Oronti emphasized the company’s commitment to contributing to the development of Trinidad's burgeoning BPO ecosystem, positioning the facility as a symbol of innovation and growth.
With a total investment of $6 million, the new facility spans a generous 4,000 square meters across three floors. It is set to host a maximum of 800 workstations and is projected to create 1,000 jobs within the next 18 months. This commitment not only reflects Advensus's growth ambition but also its dedication to uplifting the local economy by providing substantial employment opportunities.
Why Trinidad?
Trinidad boasts a population of 1.38 million inhabitants, many of whom possess high levels of English proficiency and a strong work ethic, making it an attractive location for BPO services. Furthermore, being a relatively new player in this industry means that employee attrition rates are substantially lower than in more established outsourcing hubs.
The country's infrastructure supports this initiative, featuring well-maintained roadways, minimal traffic congestion, and a robust telecom framework that includes five undersea fiber cables. This connectivity ensures that almost all populated areas have access to high-speed internet, which is crucial for maintaining efficient BPO operations.
Chaguanas, located in west-central Trinidad, is particularly well-suited for this facility given its good transportation links and the presence of 25 post-secondary institutions, providing a steady stream of qualified graduates to support local businesses.
Facility Overview
The Chaguanas facility has been thoughtfully curated with the employee experience in mind. Features include custom-designed cubicles, a high-end cafeteria offering hot food, a games room, and even a lactation room for new mothers. With a focus on comfort and well-being, the workspace also incorporates acoustic rubber carpeting and high-efficiency air conditioning systems. Security features and compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards have also been prioritized.
As Oronti stated, "We refurbished the building with employee experience, security, and compliance top-of-mind. It's crucial that our employees are happy at work and that enterprise brands feel comfortable outsourcing here."
