Vector Science & Therapeutics Launches Peptide Production at New Manufacturing Facility
Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp. (TSXV: PAIN) has reached a pivotal milestone by commencing peptide production at the LyoGenesis Manufacturing facility in Mequon, Wisconsin. This marks the opening of the first of four planned manufacturing suites, paving the way for fulfilling orders for nine different pharmaceutical-grade peptides, including popular choices like Sermorelin and BPC-157.
As the demand for peptides continues to rise in the U.S. market, Vector's production capacity is set to play a crucial role in meeting that need. The first suite is designed to produce approximately 55,000 vials per month, which have already been pre-sold to various clients. Subsequent suites are expected to come online later this month, significantly increasing total capacity to as much as 800,000 vials per month across all four suites.
The company has successfully navigated through an extensive qualification process to ensure that each suite meets stringent cGMP, FDA, and ISO quality standards. This involves meticulous validation of manufacturing processes, environment controls, and the training of adequate staff, confirming that every vial produced meets high-quality regulation requirements.
Chairman Tommy Thompson expressed satisfaction with the team's timely execution of the manufacturing setup, stating, "We projected we would begin producing revenue from the Mequon facility, and we met our timeline thanks to our entire team's effort." This commitment to quality is echoed by CEO Bill Jackson, who noted the rigorous protocols in place before any production can commence, ensuring clients receive superior products.
Vector intends to focus not solely on GLP-1 peptides but also on complementary products such as PT-141, TB-500, and MOTS-c, reflecting their strategy to capture a broader segment of market demand. With the anticipated growth and scaling of production, they expect to fulfill orders for an additional 200,000 vials per month soon after ramping up their output.
For added assurance, all peptides produced at LyoGenesis undergo validated inspections carried out by Verlytix, ensuring they meet the necessary standards for sterility, potency, and purity.
As Vector Science & Therapeutics advances its peptide manufacturing operations, it aims to play a significant role in the medical technology landscape, particularly within sports medicine and regenerative health sectors. Their dedication to quality, innovation, and scaling production reveals their commitment to revolutionizing peptide availability while addressing the urgent needs of their customer base.
