Cetera Earns Finalist Spot in 2026 InvestmentNews Awards for WealthTech Innovation

Cetera Earns Recognition as a WealthTech Innovator

In an exciting development for the financial services industry, Cetera Financial Group has been honored as a finalist in the prestigious 2026 InvestmentNews Awards. This recognition is for their exceptional work in advancing the use of AI technology within wealth management, specifically through their innovative Share of Wallet Advisor Growth Engine, developed in collaboration with TIFIN.

As the financial sector continues to grapple with the challenges of fragmented client and asset data, Cetera’s approach stands out by transforming this complexity into actionable intelligence. Their AI-driven solution is strategically embedded into advisors' daily workflows, guiding them with clear next steps rather than merely providing access to static reports or dashboards.

Cetera's innovative use of technology addresses a core issue in the wealth management industry: the seamless integration of disparate data points into a unified framework that can drive measurable business outcomes. The partnership with TIFIN introduced sophisticated analytics into the advisor toolkit, enabling a more intuitive and effective method for managing client assets.

During the pilot phase of the program, Cetera achieved impressive results that underscore the efficacy of their new approach. Notably, the initiative uncovered 3,811 actionable opportunities spread across nine percent of participating households, translating to an impressive estimated $5.95 billion in addressable assets. Furthermore, the pilot led to the generation of $21.6 million in net new assets, reinforced by over 40 successful conversions from 19 advisors who took part in this initiative.

The statistics reveal a remarkable 3.3 times higher growth in net new assets compared to the average performance across the network, showcasing the significant impact of this innovative tool. Advisors leveraging the delivered opportunities experienced a net new asset growth rate of 2.8%, a stark contrast to the mere 0.09% seen by their non-participating peers, reflecting a staggering 31-fold improvement in asset acquisition.

Following the pilot, Cetera has committed itself to expanding this initiative across a broader advisory base, augmenting features to include demographic insights, job-change notifications, and enhanced action-oriented capabilities. These enhancements represent Cetera's dedication to refining its AI-driven approach and continuously improving its technology strategy in the wealth management space.

Ladan Massir, Senior Managing Director and Head of Advisor and Digital Marketing at Cetera, commented on this recognition, stating that it signifies a pivotal change in driving growth throughout their advisory network. “By integrating AI into the workflows of advisors, we are not only providing insights but also establishing a structured, repeatable framework to capitalize on these opportunities. This transformation is vital to cultivating deeper relationships with clients and solidifying the advisors' roles as their primary financial partners,” he explained.

The InvestmentNews Awards aim to acknowledge organizations and individuals who push the envelope of excellence and innovation in the wealth management arena. Winners will be unveiled during a gala event set for June 24, 2026, in New York City, adding further excitement around the recognition of Cetera's groundbreaking achievements.
