SASSEN Experience at Komazawa Gymnasium's Grand Reopening

On July 6, 2025, a remarkable event took place at the Komazawa Olympic Park Gymnasium in Setagaya, Tokyo. The gymnasium, which had undergone renovations since 2023, hosted a grand reopening celebration that included a variety of sports experiences, Olympic performances, and live music. Among the attractions was an interactive booth dedicated to SASSEN, the next-generation digital sport that has been gaining popularity.

The SASSEN booth attracted over 300 participants throughout the day, showcasing the innovative fusion of light, sound, and sensor technology for what can be described as a mesmerizing experience of digital sword fighting. Attendees of all ages, including those utilizing wheelchairs, were able to engage safely and wholeheartedly, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement.

Participants expressed their joy with comments like, "It was fun to challenge each other as a family" and "I had a blast even as a first-timer!". This vibrant interaction highlighted the inclusive nature of SASSEN, promoting a unique platform where individuals can come together beyond age and physical limitations. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to introduce the community to the charm of digital sword fighting, fostering connection and shared experiences.

Going forward, SASSEN aims to continue its expansion into local events, educational institutions, and sports festivals. The vision is to develop a new form of sport that is accessible and enjoyable for everyone, thereby enriching the community's sporting landscape.
