Dr. Brennen, who already held the role of Quantum Information Advisor and Director of BTQ Australia, is well-versed in leading the future direction of BTQ’s technological initiatives. Currently a professor at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Macquarie University in Sydney, Dr. Brennen focuses on the research and development of quantum computers, simulators, and sensors. His extensive research in quantum algorithms and protocols has been critical in developing solutions that significantly outperform conventional technologies.
Before joining BTQ, Dr. Brennen served as the Director of the Macquarie Centre for Quantum Engineering and was a Chief Investigator at the prestigious Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS). His contributions to the quantum community extend to active participation in Standards Australia’s working group for Quantum Technologies and co-directing the Australian Quantum Software Network (AQSN).
