On January 25, 2026, ELITE Solar announced the official opening of a state-of-the-art 5GW photovoltaic manufacturing facility located in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, Egypt. This notable project marks a significant advancement in ELITE's global expansion strategy, emphasizing the company's commitment to enhancing its solar production capacity worldwide.

The newly established facility is designed with an impressive capacity breakdown of 2GW dedicated to high-efficiency solar cells and 3GW for solar modules. Aimed at reinforcing Egypt's commitment to renewable energy and industrial development, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. His presence underscored the project's importance and its contribution towards local job creation, while simultaneously strengthening the region's role in global clean energy supply chains.

On January 23, numerous stakeholders including regional clients and strategic partners were on-site to tour the production lines for N-type solar cells and modules.
