The popular specialty chocolate store, Minimal - Bean to Bar Chocolate, is set to launch an exquisite seasonal dessert called 'Chocolate Charlotte' at its Patisserie Minimal location in Soshigaya-Okura starting June 6, 2026. This delightful creation reinterprets the traditional French cake, Charlotte, showcasing the diverse fruity characteristics of cacao sourced from Peru, Tanzania, and Madagascar.

The Concept Behind 'Chocolate Charlotte'



The idea behind 'Chocolate Charlotte' is to taste cacao not just as a sweet treat but as a fruit. Each component of the dessert highlights the unique flavor profiles of the selected cacao origins. The dessert features a rich chocolate bavarois made with robust cacao from Peru, known for its strong fruitiness. To elevate the experience further, Madagascar cacao, known for its berry-like acidity, and Tanzania cacao, with its apple-like flavors, are elegantly incorporated into the topping.

Adding a layer of rare cacao pulp jelly and creamy vanilla ice cream further enhances the tasting experience, allowing guests to savor the depth of flavor that cacao, as a fruit, brings.
