iRobot Revamps the Roomba Lineup with Six New Models

In an exciting announcement on April 18, iRobot Japan has unveiled an extensive refresh of its Roomba vacuum cleaner lineup, introducing six new models nationwide. This initiative marks the first full lineup update under the leadership of Gary Cohen, the new CEO who took office in April last year after the company’s headquarters in the U.S. made the initial announcement in March.

The robot vacuum market has become vibrant due to the entry of new competitors and the launch of diverse products. Since the creation of the Roomba in 2002, iRobot has consistently evolved its offerings, achieving a remarkable milestone of 50 million units sold globally by last year.

To bolster robot vacuum penetration and further solidify the Roomba’s leadership, iRobot took a comprehensive approach to re-examine the functionalities, usability, and design of all models. The new Roomba product lineup features three categories tailored to different target demographics and lifestyles, resulting in six new models with a total of nine variations when including color options.
