Persistent Systems Unveils Strategic Leadership Changes

Effective August 11, 2025, Dhanashree Bhat, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will be stepping down to explore new professional opportunities. To ensure a seamless transition and maintain the company's growth trajectory, Jaideep Dhok has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer for Technology, effective August 12, 2025. This strategic shift reinforces the strength of Persistent’s existing leadership and reflects a solid succession plan that aligns with long-term transformation priorities and an unwavering focus on seamless execution.

Jaideep Dhok has held various pivotal roles within the organization. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President for Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI), bringing over 23 years of extensive expertise in horizontal technologies and the BFSI sector. Throughout his 14-plus years at Persistent, he has spearheaded major transformational initiatives, expanded operations into new business areas, and significantly contributed to the growth of the BFSI segment within the company. Currently overseeing the APAC region, Jaideep has been instrumental in steering the company's AI strategy.

In his updated role, Jaideep will also take on responsibilities for delivery excellence, talent management, learning and development, as well as alliances and partnerships. According to Sandeep Kalra, Persistent’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Jaideep’s robust technological background, complemented by his execution focus and deep understanding of the business, will be vital in scaling the organization flexibly while aligning with an AI-driven, platform-based strategy.

In addition to these changes, Vinit Teredesai, the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, who currently oversees corporate finance, treasury, financial reporting, taxation, corporate risk management, and investor relations, will also take responsibility for IT and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) during this transition.

These leadership adjustments position Persistent to effectively implement its strategic priorities while continuing to deliver value to its stakeholders and customers.
