Spear Physical Therapy Launches New Clinics to Serve Long Island Communities

Spear Physical Therapy Expands Long Island Presence

Spear Physical & Occupational Therapy is excited to announce the grand opening of two new clinics located in Bellmore and Rockville Centre on January 7th. This expansion enhances Spear's commitment to provide exceptional rehabilitation services across Long Island.

The new clinics, situated at 2736 Merrick Road in Bellmore and 270 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, will allow the company to cater to a larger community, making premium physical therapy accessible to more residents. With these additions, Spear now operates four clinics in the Long Island area, supplementing its existing locations in Garden City and Great Neck.

Leadership and Clinical Excellence

Each clinic will be helmed by a skilled Clinical Director dedicated to ensuring high-quality, personalized care for patients. The Bellmore clinic will be managed by Michelle Rooney, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, who boasts over ten years of clinical experience. Having grown up on Long Island and spent the last several years working to expand Spear's footprint in New York City, Rooney expressed her enthusiasm for the new role: "Bringing the highest level of clinical excellence to this community feels incredibly meaningful to me."

The Rockville Centre location will be overseen by Michael Santo, PT, DPT. With 15 years of experience in the physical therapy field and deep roots in the community he serves, Santo shared his pride in being able to support local families through Spear’s offerings. "It's an honor to give back to the place that shaped me," he stated.

Commitment to Community Health

"As we continue to grow on Long Island, our goal is to serve even more members of these wonderful communities with dedication and care," said Dan Rootenberg, CEO and Co-Founder of Spear Physical & Occupational Therapy. He emphasized that each new opening provides opportunities to help individuals improve their mobility, gain strength, and return to their everyday activities.

Founded in 1999, Spear has evolved from a single-treatment room in Manhattan into one of the nation’s most reputed physical therapy practices. Renowned for its blend of clinical expertise and five-star patient experiences, Spear has established itself as a benchmark for outpatient care, now with over 75 locations across the greater New York area.

As they expand, the services offered aim not only to treat injuries but also to empower individuals through personalized care strategies tailored to help them achieve their health goals.
