Qianhai Ehub Showcases Innovation at VivaTech Paris 2026
In a significant leap for innovative collaboration, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (Ehub) made a remarkable debut at
VivaTech Paris 2026, held from June 17-20. This event marked Ehub's first appearance at Europe’s leading startup event, reinforcing its role as a crucial bridge between the
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the global technology ecosystem.
As Shenzhen continues to elevate its international standing—especially ahead of hosting the
2026 APEC meeting—Ehub is paving the way for startups to forge international connections and penetrate overseas markets. This year at VivaTech, Ehub led a vibrant delegation comprising six innovative Hong Kong startups:
Vispek,
GEE•D,
InnAIO,
SkylandX,
GastroEase Biotech, and
i2Cool. These companies showcased groundbreaking advancements in
artificial intelligence,
biotechnology,
green technology, and
smart hardware.
Expanding Global Opportunities
During the exhibition, the startups presented their cutting-edge solutions to a diverse audience of global investors, industry leaders, and potential partners. The discussions that took place not only centered on technology commercialization but also explored avenues for investment and talent development—key components vital for startups aiming to expand their influence internationally.
Peter Mok, the General Manager of Ehub, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “VivaTech provides an excellent platform to showcase the GBA's innovation strengths to the world. By bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and technology leaders, we aim to foster international collaboration, create new opportunities for startups, and strengthen the GBA's position as a globally connected innovation hub.”
Successful Engagements
The enthusiasm from the international community was palpable. Tony Gong from
Vispek noted a substantial interest in their
spectral imaging solutions, allowing them to engage with potential investors and explore future collaborations. Eva Yu, Partner and Head of China Business at
InnAIO, shared her excitement as their
real-time translation and voice cloning technologies garnered international interest, leading to sold-out demonstration units and several overseas partnerships.
Ehub’s presence at VivaTech is part of a broader initiative to boost Shenzhen-Hong Kong innovation cooperation, connecting
talent,
technology, and
capital to facilitate cross-border innovation and commercialization of research.
To amplify its efforts, Ehub has collaborated with five of Hong Kong's universities, all of which are ranked among the
QS World University Rankings Top 100. This partnership includes
The University of Hong Kong,
The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and
Hong Kong Baptist University, and has led to the establishment of innovation centers at Ehub.
Looking Ahead
As Ehub builds on its successful debut and continues to expand its international footprint, it remains focused on equipping the next generation of startups with essential resources, cross-border platforms, and global connections necessary to thrive in the competitive landscape.
Established on December 7, 2014, Ehub is an international platform dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on strategic sectors including
artificial intelligence,
life and health technologies,
cultural tech, and
fintech. It has emerged as the only national cross-border demonstration zone for youth innovation and entrepreneurship, housing a population of 415 enterprises, 92 of which are recognized as national high-tech companies, collectively raising over
RMB 9.5 billion.
