Beginning May 14, the flagship Salad Cafe locations in the Kanto region will feature the "Bolognese Style Jumbo Peppers - Tongari Power". This innovative dish showcases a unique cultivar of peppers that are not only large but also have a rich, sweet flavor, making them the perfect ingredient for culinary explorations.

What Are Jumbo Peppers?

The "Tongari Power" peppers are characterized by their impressive size, measuring over 15 cm in length and 4 cm in diameter. With thick, juicy flesh and a moderate flavor, they offer a delightful taste experience without the usual bitterness associated with standard peppers. Often, ripe peppers turn red and become quite sweet; however, their green appearances lead many to be discarded before reaching the market.
