Experience the magic of Taiwan right at the foot of Tokyo Tower this summer! The
Taiwan Night Festival returns for a limited time, from July 11 to 21, 2025, at Shiba Park. In these 11 days, indulge in authentic Taiwanese street food, enjoy performances by Taiwanese artists, and revel in the breathtaking sight of sky lanterns illuminating the night sky. It’s a perfect escape to the atmosphere of a vibrant Taiwan night market without leaving the city!

  • - Admission Fee: Adults: 500 JPY (middle school students and older), Free for elementary and preschool children

Magical Sky Lantern Experience



The enchanting sky lanterns that won the hearts of visitors last year are back! Experience a piece of Taiwan's famous Shifen lantern release right in Tokyo. Participants can write their wishes on the lanterns before sending them into the night sky. It’s a memorable experience you won't forget!

  • - Registration: Starts at 6:00 PM (at the Taiwanese goods booth)
  • - Launch Times: Around 8:00 PM on July 12, 13, 19, 20, and 21, with a limit of 100 lanterns per day. Each lantern costs 3,000 JPY.

The lanterns used are from the Japan Sky Lantern Association, emphasizing safety and ease of disposal.

1. Start with Taiwanese Street Food: Sample crowd-pleasers like Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice), enormous crispy Da Ji Pai (fried chicken), and simmered dumplings filled with juicy goodness.
